Step 3

Use the stamper to print the lace design onto your first and little finger nails.

Chequered Chevron Nails!

Chequered Chevron Nails!

Rating: *****

Finished Nails
Tools

Tools:
  • Colletion 2000 5 Fire Engine
  • Black Stamping Polish
  • Cllection 2000 Blackjack 2
  • H&M Sparkling Silver
  • Colour Cosmetic 07 Top Coat
  • Stamping tool
  • Tape
  • Diamond gems
  • Paintbrush

Step 1

Paint your nails red.

Step 2

Using the stamp and the black stamping polish, paint the small squares on the base of your nail. Make sure you cover at least half the nail, but it doesn't need to be precise as you will paint over the tips in a minute.

Step 3

Place a piece of tape over the squares, with a corner in the middle of your nail, and then paint over your nails with the black nail varnish. Remove the tape immediately after painting the nail.

Step 4

Using a paintbrush, paint a silver line along the edge of the black nail varnish.

Step 5

Stick a diamond gem onto the centre of each nail, below the point of the black, using a generous amount of top coat.

Cover your nails in a thick top coat to prevent the gem coming off too easily.

American Flag Nails!

American Flag Nails!

In honour of it being Independence Day across the pond last Friday and the fact that I'm on holiday in America soon, I thought I would do a twist on regular American flag nails.

Rating: ****

Finished nails
Tools
Stamper

I used:
  • Rimmel 703 White Hot Love
  • Color Show 661 Ocean Blue
  • Collection 20005 Fire Engine
  • Barry M 54 Clear
  • Small metal tipped paintbrush
  • Salon Express Stamper

Step 1

Paint all your nails white.

Step 2

Paint your thumbs blue.

Step 3

Use the paintbrush to paint the stripes on all your fingers (not the thumb).

Step 4

Using the large star from the star and moon stamper with the white nail varnish, place a few stars on the thumb. Don't put too many or it will look crowded and make sure they don't overlap.

Step 5

Cover the design in the clear top coat to protect it and smooth it all out. I also paired this with painted toes since I'll be wearing sandals a lot over the summer. I did my big toes blue and the others alternating red and white to look vaguely like the flag.

Star nails!

Star Nails!
(A perfect design to kick off advent)

Rating: *

Finished Nails
Tools
I used:
  • '17 Navy Glint'
  • 'Models Own Silver'
  • Salon Express Stamper
  • 'Collection 2000 Nail Care Top Coat'

Step 1

Paint the nails with the navy blue. This may require two coats to achieve the desired effect of midnight blue sky.

Step 2

Use the star stamper to place a silver star in the corner of each nail. I only used the biggest of the stars in this cluster because I thought any more would look over crowded.

Step 3

Cover the design in the top coat to seal in the design and prevent chips.

Flower nails!

Flower Nails!
A perfect design for Remembrance Sunday

Rating: **

Finished nails
Tools
I used:
  • 'Collection 2000 103 French White'
  • 'Rimmel Lasting Finish 030 Double Decker Red'
  • 'Collection 2000 Nail Care Top Coat'
  • Salon Express Stamper
  • Nail Varnish remover
  • Tissue

Step 1

Paint the nails white.

Step 2

Paint the nails red.

Step 3

Use the stamper to put the flower design onto each nail. You will need to clean the stamper with the nail varnish remover and tissue between each nail. The stamper is quite tricky to use so do some practices beforehand and don't expect it to be perfect the first time around.

Finally, cover the nails in the top coat and clean up around them with nail varnish remover.
