Psychedelic Nails!

Psychedelic Nails!

Rating: ***

Finished Nails

Tools
 I used:
  • Barry M Cotton
  • La Femme 132 Ultra Pink
  • La Femme 128 Ultra Yellow
  • La Femme 127 Ultra Blue
  • Collection 2000 44 Parma Violet
  • La Femme 118 Top Coat
  • Make-up sponge

Step 1

Paint your nails white.

Step 2

Paint 4 sections on the sponge, as below, and dab this onto your nail so the point where all the colours meet is at the centre of your nail.

Step 3

Cover your design with a top coat to protect it. You will also need to clean round the nails, using a cotton bud and some nail varnish remover, or a remover pen if you have one.

Rainbow nails!

Rainbow nails!

Rating: **

Finished nails

Tools
I used:
  • 'Rimmel Lasting Finish 198 Azure'
  • 'Rimmel Lasting Finish 030 Double Decker Red'
  • 'Rimmel Lasting Finish 280 Sunshine'
  • 'Collection 2000 103 French White'
  • 'Collection 2000 Nail Care Top Coat'
  • '17 Seabreeze'
  • A small, metal banded paintbrush (plastic would dissolve!) - I used size 10/0
Step 1

Paint the nails blue, using the 17 varnish. Don't worry if it is messy, you can clean it up at the end either with a cotton bud and nail varnish remover or you can peel it off!

Step 2

Paint the three curved lines with the blue closest to the tip and the red furthest away. Make sure it reaches the edges of the nails. You may want to put white underneath it to make the rainbow stand out better.

Step 3

Paint on the cloud at the tip of the nail with the white, making it quite thick to ensure it completely covers the end of the rainbow.

Step 4

Paint over each nail with the top coat to seal in the design.

Finally, clean up around the nails to make them look neat.
