Tools
I used:
  • Rimmel 60 Seconds 703 White Hot Love
  • 17 Seabreeze
  • Barry M Silver Nail Art Pen
  • Rimmel Finishing Touch Ultra Shine Top Coat

Step 1

Paint your nails white.

Step 2

Paint your nails blue.

Step 3

Using the nail art pen, draw three lines that cross at the centre of your ring fingers.

Step 4

At the end of each line, add two smaller lines to turn it into a snowflake.

Step 5

Cover the design in a top coat so the pen doesn't rub off, and to give it a nice shine.

I used:
  • Maybelline Colour Show 749 Electric Yellow
  • Collection 2000 103 French White
  • Barry M black nail art pen
  • Barry M white nail art pen
  • Rimmel Lasting Finish 030 Double Decker Red

  • Collection 2000 2 in 1 Top Coat and Gloss Enhancer

Step 1

Paint your nails yellow.

Step 2

Using the white nail varnish, paint a curved section over the left hand side of your nail.

Step 3

Using the black nail art pen, draw a nose and mouth on each finger.

Step 4

Still using the black nail art pen, draw an small circle as an eye in the top right of your nail (where the bandanna isn't!).

Step 5

Using the white nail art pen, add a small white dot at the bottom of each eye, as a reflection.

Step 6

Add some coloured dots to the bandanna using a dotting tool.

Finally, cover over the design in a top coat to protect it and smooth it out.

Firework nails!

Firework Nails!
(I know this is a little late for Bonfire Night but better late than never, right!)

Rating: *****

Finished nails
Tools

I used:
  • Collection French Mani 103 French White
  • La Femme Ultra Yellow 128
  • La Femme Ultra Gold 135
  • La Femme  Ultra Pink 132
  • La Femme Ultra Blue 127
  • Rimmel Lasting Finish 080 Black Cab
  • La Femme Top Coat 118
  • Masking tape

Step 1

Paint your nails with the white. You will probably need two coats to get a smooth effect.

Step 2

Paint a yellow spot on each nail using the brush that comes with the nail varnish as fireworks aren't perfectly symmetrical. I tried doing two on some fingers but it came out quite messy in the end so I wouldn't recommend it.

Step 3

Paint around the yellow using the orange, also using the brush that comes with the varnish to create the feathered effect.

Step 4

Paint around the orange with the red, the same way you did the orange.

Step 5

Repeat again with the blue.

Step 6

Cut lots of tiny curved pieces of tape (this can take a while!) and stick them on your nail radiating out from the centre of the yellow, all the way to the edge of your nail. Paint over this using the black and then remove all the tape immediately, before the nail varnish becomes tacky as this can pull as you remove the tape.

Step 7

Cover over the design with a top coat to protect it and give it a nice finish.
